Words shaped with a pen

Words shaped with a pen
contain much more
than these
the size, the slant
this particular ‘e’
unlike any other
(not here of course
here it’s
eeeeeee - lost in the crowd)
how much is lost when we carry over just the bare words?
could I make a poem
of what is left behind?
of the scratch and smell of it?
the crossings out and the rearrangements?
would it sing?
would it be truer
than this?
